Healthy tips every Indian groom must
follow before wedding

Though a wedding means top-center gossip about the bride, the groom shall not be left behind. Gone are those days when the groom used to be unseen and the bride is all pampered with endless clicks and compliments. Well, in this social media era, the groom is equally in the limelight as the bride and a healthy, glowing skin is as much essential for the groom as it is for the bride. The Internet is filled with health care tips for the bride but not for the poor groom. So, here we bring some awesome health tips for grooming the groom.

  • Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing: To get an inner glow on the wedding day, it is important to follow a CTM skin care regime. Daily exposure to dirt and pollution can give a tenacious dullness to your skin. Cleanse your face with a face wash and massage it for 30 seconds before washing it off with lukewarm water. Pat dry your face and use a toner to give a soft and supple look to your face. Use a moisturizer after toner to hydrate your skin and reduce the appearance of pimple and pores. It is best to use a cream, which contains Aloe Vera gel or salicylic acid. You can also start using a retinol based cream four-five days before your wedding. It will help boost cell growth and collagen production
  • Hair care- Wash your hair with a shampoo that suits your hair type- normal, dry or oily, followed by a good conditioner. Try not to experiment with a new shampoo and conditioner on the wedding day as it can be a major slip-up. Use lukewarm water to wash your hair and pat dry your hair rather than rubbing hard with a towel. Avoid haircut on your wedding day, instead go for it a week before.
  • Shaving techniques- Use a shaving cream that contains aloe vera and glycerine for your D-day. It will make your skin soft and smooth. Use lukewarm water to shave. It's very important to use an effective aftershave to avoid dryness and any kind of skin irritation. Skin irritation can lead to rashes, which is something you definitely don't want on your big day.
  • Lips- Exfoliate your lips to remove the dead, chapped cells of your lips. You can use your toothbrush to scrub your lips. Use a lip balm after exfoliation to get hydrated lips. Look for a lip balm that contains aloe vera, coconut oil, cocoa butter, shea butter and beeswax. Reapply after every two hours on your wedding day.
  • Stay hydrated- It is really important to stay hydrated inside and out. Drink lots of water on your wedding day to get a healthy, clear complexion. You can also add a drop of chlorophyll in your water to augment the hydration level. Sip up fresh fruit and vegetable juices to get all those good-for-you benefits.
  • Manicure and pedicure- Grooms often neglect their hands and feet, which can make them look slightly dull. Dirty and unshaped nails can be a major tint for your wedding album. So, fix these brass tacks for your D-day. Visit a nearby salon and get a pedicure and manicure treatment done. You can also do it by yourself by exfoliating the dry skin, trimming, filing, and buffing or take help from your sister.
  • Bad teeth- Bad teeth can be a major turn-off as it's a day of wide and upbeat smiles. Visit your dentist for an in-office whitening treatment. He will apply the bleach to your eight front teeth and your teeth will appear 8 to 9 shades whiter in just one hour.
  • Sleep properly- It is really important to take sleep of around 7-8 hours to get rid of eye bags or dark circles. If you still notice puffed up eyes, then simply keep two spoons in a freezer for 30 minutes and lightly press them on your closed eyes. This will reduce puffiness to a great extent.
  • Last moment essentials- Avoid consuming alcohol and caffeine on your wedding day, it can dehydrate the skin and cause sagging skin. Splash some perfume to smell good. Go clean-shaven or if you are opting for a beard or a stubble, then get it trimmed properly so that you look neat. Avoid going for a nude beard look as it will give you an unkempt look. Chew on a piece of gum to freshen up your breath. It will help stimulate the saliva, which is responsible for reducing the bad breath.
  • Lose weight- Losing weight does not have to be complete overhaul or a record breaking 30 kgs. Just lose the extra flab that you may have overlooked till now. Even if you do not get the desired weight, any progress in that direction will only help you look better. Setting up Yoga sessions in the morning are the healthiest way to go. You can also indulge in rigorous exercises to help you get there faster.
  • Don't stress out- It is important to not take unwanted stress with the proceedings of the weddings. Plan your events, take professional help in planning the events.
